Glass Recycling Collection

Glass Recycling Subcription

WFWRD provides two options for glass recycling in the Wasatch Front region: drop-off collection and curbside collection. While curbside collection is unavailable to all residents, drop-off collection sites are open 24/7. If you have any questions regarding glass recycling, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Glass Recycling Drop-Off

The Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling District has established drop-off glass sites for residents who are unable or unwilling to subscribe to curbside services. It is important to remember that these sites are heavily used, particularly on weekends. Residents are welcome to use these drop-off sites. However, it is important to note that they are intended for residents only.

*Please do not leave any items on the ground.

Curbside Glass Recycling Collection

Residents of Emigration Canyon, Canyon Rim, Millcreek, East Mill Creek, Mount Olympus, Murray Annex, Holladay, Cottonwood Heights, and Taylorsville areas can avail the glass collection service. This service will be extended to other areas and will be made available to all district residents in the next few years.

Can Placement

  • Place your can at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your assigned collection day.
  • Place the can at least 3 feet away from vehicles and other objects to prevent property damage.
  • Do not overfill the can; the lid must close. Overfilled cans may cause spillage in the roadway.
  • Do not place items on the side of the can; they will not be collected.
