Additional Recycling Can Rental Agreement

Account Status: Your account must be current to rent an additional recycling can.
Fees:
- One-time startup fee: $70.
- Ongoing fee: $15, billed quarterly.
Replacement Fees:
- For damages beyond normal wear and tear, the replacement cost is $70.
- If the can is stolen, you may choose between:
  - A refurbished can for $40.
  - A brand-new can for $70.
Usage:
- The additional recycling can must be used at the registered address only.
- The can remains the sole property of the District.
Proper Use:
- Only recyclable items are permitted in the recycling can. If the can contains any non-recyclable items, it will be tagged and not serviced. You will be responsible for removing all non-recyclable items from the can.
  
  After three (3) contamination violations, the recycling can will be removed from the property.
  - Do not overload the can. The lid should not open more than a 45-degree angle when closed.
  - Ensure all cans are placed at least 3 feet away from any object that might obstruct dumping, such as cars, trees, street signs, or other cans.
Damage Policy: Damage caused beyond normal wear and tear will result in a $70 replacement fee.
