Rates & Fees
The Wasatch Front Waste fees for 2020 will remain at $17 per month/per year ($204 per year) for one garbage can and one recycle can, plus all the other services you get in your service package.
There is an increase to the fees for newly built homes in 2020. Cart fees for newly built homes will increase from $50 to $100 to cover the full cost of the waste and recycle carts (there is also a $10 delivery fee). Please refer to our 2020 fee schedule for more details on all of the District fees.
Customers can help keep fees low by recycling as much as possible. Over 60 percent of the materials at the landfill can be recycled.
Wasatch Front Waste & Recycling District is a non-profit government agency. The fees charged to customers are just to sustain services. There is no profit made by the District.
The governing board of the District is made up of elected representatives from the areas we serve: Cottonwood Heights, Herriman, Holladay, Millcreek, Taylorsville, portions of Murray and Sandy; the Metro Townships of Copperton, Emigration, Kearns, Magna and White City; along with the unincorporated areas of Salt Lake County

Other Services:
- We offer assistance to residents with limited mobility.
- Second garbage can available for an additional cost.
- Trailer rentals for large amounts of bulk or green waste.
